Reiki (pronounced Ray Key) was rediscovered in the 19th century by Mikao Usui. Since that time various modalities of Reiki have evolved. I practice the oldest and purest form of Reiki. Reiki is not a religion.

The science of Reiki is that each organ of the body has its own magnetic field of various frequencies. When these frequencies are not "in-tune" disease occurs. Much like a radio between stations with static; all that is needed is to turn the knob slightly for the static to be eliminated. 

The biomagnetic fields produced by a practitioners hands can induce current flows in the tissues and cells of individuals. Evidence that it actually occurs can be found in "Science of the Heart and The Electricity of Touch" published by Heart/Math.

An acupuncturist uses needles in various places on the body called meridians and or chakras. The meridians and Chakras are also used in Reiki but without needles. (Learn more about Chakras on the Gemstone Therapy page.)

The client is fully dressed in comfortable clothing. Most ailments are relieved in one to four sessions. You can expect to feel relaxed and rejuvenated from the first session.
